Front tooth crowns
Front tooth crowns treatment and the cost is important when patients are considering restoring both the functionality and look of their smile.
It doesn’t matter what the reason is, be it decay, damage or simply for cosmetic reasons knowing all about front teeth crowns will ease your mind.
Let’s take a closer look at this proven restorative treatment, what the process is, how long does it take and how much does the treatment cost.
What are they
Front teeth crowns are essentially caps for teeth that our experienced laboratory technicians in Perfect Smile Hungary design and shape.
They are designed and made in such a way as to completely cover existing teeth that are affected in some way and need to be crowned.
Putting crowns on front teeth strengthens them, restores their shape, size and most importantly improves their appearance.
Crowns protect and prolong the life of damaged or decayed teeth, so they are a worthwhile investment in your oral health.

Which crown is best for you.?
Which crown is best for you?, the answer lies in the material and what impact it has on the appearance and durability of the crown.
Porcelain crowns are a popular choice as a front teeth crown, not only do they blend seamlessly with the adjacent teeth, they are a great match for the enamel making their appearance so natural looking.
Porcelain fused to metal crowns offer fantastic strength and durability, one slight drawback is that the metal could show after wearing them for some time.
Ceramic crowns are similar in many ways to porcelain, they can be used for front teeth because they are strong and look natural, for patients with metal allergies they are a good choice.
Zirconia crowns are also a popular choice for front teeth because of their durability to withstand daily chewing and eating forces, in addition Zirconia crowns are very aesthetically pleasing.

By the end of the 7 days spent in Perfect Smile Hungary you should feel very happy with your new front teeth crowns as you prepare to return home to Ireland.

Aftercare and recovery
As I’ve outlined aftercare is in Wexford, recovery from your treatment shouldn’t take long, some discomfort or sensitivity may occur but not in all cases.
If there is some discomfort or sensitivity take over the counter medications and or don’t eat very hot or very cold foods for a few days.
Keep good everyday oral hygiene practices, floss as you normally would, avoid sticky or hard food.
Check-ups
We do advise that patients with front teeth crowns come to the Wexford dental clinic for a yearly check up, our team can check for any issues.
How long do they last
There are different materials used so the lifespan will depend on which choice was established, to give you an average, studies show that 10-15 years is appropriate, however we have some patients that have dental crowns for 20 years.
Are crowns expensive
Depends on your budget and where you decide to get the treatment, for example I’ve seen crowns for front teeth prices in Ireland from €500 upwards.
Don’t forget, if the cost of crowns in Ireland is excessive and beyond your budget, call Fintan in Hungarian dentists Wexford 0873490104.
